I am still working on the two books I've started. The first one is about 56
pages so far; the other only about 25. Never realized it was so hard to write
a book. Hope while we are overseas this year I will be able to concentrate
on both and finish them. Have someone proofing so I can get inputs as to what
is needed. Continue to pray for us.
Our ministry is growing and who knew we would not remain a single campus
but three and another one on the way. Awesome. God has truly blessed
the ministry, and our Jewish roots are being taught too. Every Sunday, we
blow a shofar towards each direction to call people to worship; over our
offering we blow as we pray for it; and at the end of the service 6 short
and 1 long for completion of service. Bible studies are constantly going
on and the staff has risen to the occasion. Because of the size of the
sanctuary we have many groups coming in to use it, had several weddings,
and other special events.
Last year while we were overseas our house was broken into and some things
were taken. Its taken awhile to recover - had to get a new car, lost some
rings, and had to repair all doors to bedrooms and master. Fortunately, we
have been able to go on - though it's taken awhile to get totally back on
our feet. Didn't help that I spent 10 days at VA hospital for some issues.
If you come to our Facebook page, you will see that I added an
area for the ministry as well. Even though we are out of the
Philippines and we have pastors watching the church, it certainly
would help so we can buy more bibles in Tagalog (would like
to purchase 75-100@$10-12 ea), and this year we are getting some
much needed work - electrical, and repair to damaged areas) and painting
still to be done on the church. We want to thank
Ms. Geri Grieb of DFW New Beginnings for her recent generous
contribution to the church. We've sent 6 boxes this year and still plan
to send a lawnmower (the ones in Philippines are on last leg) and a gas
blower to help wrangle up the leaves. Thats about $1600 not including
shipping.
We are praying that God will help us raise money for 26 families in the area.
We have the desire to provide rice, canned foods and also some items
(clothing and things). We estimated approximately $50 per family (families
range from 4 to 8 per). If you can help in any way, again contact me soonest.
We would like to have the money before the end of August 2024 to send so that
the items can be purchased for the holidays. Thank you and God bless you
those who give.
Until next time, Be blessed and remember if you can help in anyway,
email me at ptrgary2001@juno.com or here pastorgary@nbolcc.com, and I
will give you details how to do just that. We can always use
finances and other things to get the church fully built (tiles,
doors, and office functional). Like everywhere, it takes
money to get things done and we are currently not receiving any
support. God is Good and he's still working with us.
